'THE ITINERARY'
RATED AS ONE OF THE MOST REVISITED CITIES IN THE WORLD, CAPE TOWN HAS A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
FROM LONG EMPTY BEACHES AND SPECTACULAR SCENIC DRIVES, TO DRAMATIC OVERREACHES, A PLACE WHERE WILDLIFE THRIVES.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
From Cape Town we make our way towards Muizenberg, famous for it's colorful changing rooms on the beach and a mecca for surfing in Cape Town. Have some beach walk time along with photos of colorful houses
We then head over to Kalk Bay, to view the Car Fur Seals lounging in the sun, also see freshly caught fish on sale when conditions are right.
Our next stop is Boulders Beach in Simon's Town, a unique and endangered land based colony of African Penguins, protected by ancient granite boulders.
For those wanting to take a swim in the cold Atlantic Ocean, Foxy Beach situated right next to Boulders, and offers the opportunity to 'swim with penguins'.
Note that penguins are wild animals and swimming with them is never guaranteed.
After the penguins, we make our way to the world renowned Cape Point Nature Reserve, encompassing just under 8000 hectares of rich and varied flora and fauna, this is where we can spot a wide variety of local wildlife and plant species, including Cape Mountain Zebra, buck, baboons and over 250 species of bird life.
If anyone is up for getting a little active, there is a beautiful scenic boarded walk of about 40min from Cape Point to Cape of Good Hope.
For lunch we stop at a holistic eatery situated in the heart of the seaside town of Scarborough, their ethos being to provide cuisine that is true to nature, promoting a healthier lifestyle, and only using ethically and locally sourced ingredients.
Continuing, we pass the quaint seaside villages of Misty Cliffs, Kommetjie and Noordhoek before making our way to the world renowned Chapman's Peak drive, an engineering feat that rests on 630 million year old Cape Granite, first opened in 1922, and known as 'one of the most scenic drives in the world'.
Here we will get to enjoy spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Hout Bay, with the sun light hitting the mountains perfectly this time of the day.
Enjoy a local treat while taking in the beauty of this bay.
The tour ends off by showcasing the beauty of the western peaks of Table Mountain which towers over the famous Camps Bay beach, this magnificent setting is known as the '12 Apostle Peaks'.
