'THE ITINERARY'
SOUTH AFRICA IS KNOWN AS ONE OF THE BEST SURF DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD,
A PLACE WHERE YOU GET TO EXPERIENCE AFRICAN CULTURE, SEE SPECTACULAR LANDSCAPES AND SURF BEAUTIFUL UN-CROWDED WAVES ALL IN ONE DAY.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
DAY 1
CAPE TOWN – MOSSELBAY - VICTORIA BAY - WILDERNESS
Depart early morning through the Overberg region, a 4 hour drive surrounded by rolling mountain ranges, and widely known for the immense beauty of it's orchards, forests, grain fields and vistas.
Our first surf check will be at Mosselbay, a peaceful holiday town offering two fun right hand reef breaks.
NOTE: Optional 3 hour OPEN TOP GAME SAFARI, at a private game reserve near Mosselbay.
From here we head over to Victoria Bay, a fun right hand point break, offering a longer ride compared to Mosselbay.
Victoria Bay also offers a beach break.
On the smaller swell days, there's a option to paddle up a tranquil river and hike a indigenous forest to a waterfall.
Overnight in Wilderness.
Tonight your guide will lovingly prepare a beautiful Potjie* for the evenings meal.

*Potjie is a traditional way of preparing food, in a cast iron pot, over coals from a wood burning fire.

DAY 2
WILDERNESS – BUFFALO BAY – JEFFREY'S BAY
The day starts off with a early morning surf check at Victoria bay followed by a nice healthy breakfast.
Driving through the world famous 'Garden Route', we surf check Buffalo bay, with options ranging from left hand beach breaks to right hand point breaks.
Optional stop at the World's Highest Commercial Bungy Jump Bridge, standing tall at 216m, this one is for the brave.
Afterwards we head over to Jeffreys Bay, the surf mecca of South Africa, and to some people, the world.
Jeffrey's Bay is one of the best right hand point breaks in the world, and a stop on the world tour of surfing.
Overnight in Jeffrey's Bay.
Tonight's dinner is at a very famous 'surfers' restaurant in the area, known for having the best food in town.

DAY 3
JEFFREY'S BAY – CAPE ST FRANCIS – JEFFREYS BAY
After a early morning surf check, we'll decide to surf Jeffrey's bay or Cape St Francis, depending on the swell direction and size of swell.
St Francis bay is home to the surf break called Bruce’s Beauties, made famous by the popular surf movie Endless Summer, circa 1966
There is a right hand point break, as well as a beach break which breaks both ways, meaning left and right, around the area.
Optional sunset horse back ride along a un spoilt beach.
Overnight in Jeffrey's Bay.
Tonight for dinner your guide will lovingly prepare a Braai*
( vegetarian option available )
*Braai - traditional way of preparing food, over coals from a wood burning fire.

DAY 4
JEFFREYS BAY – GARDEN ROUTE - MOSSELBAY
After a early morning surf, we'll have breakfast and start preparing for our journey back through the Garden Route.
Today we'll have the whole Garden Route at our disposal for doing surf checks as well as some adventure activities, including:
Canyoning or Kloofing (including rock jumps, zip lining and abseiling), as well as Dolphin Watching.
On route we will also stop and do a surf check at Victoria Bay again
Overnight in Mosselbay.
Tonight we visit a authentic braai* restaurant, situated on the harbours edge.
Choose from a variety of traditional meals cooked on the open fire.

DAY 5
MOSSELBAY - SWELLENDAM - ROBERTSON – CAPE TOWN
After a early morning surf check, we'll have a nice healthy breakfast and start packing up for our journey to Cape Town
Heading back along the N2 highway, through the wheat and canola fields, we'll make a turn to the north and start heading towards the wine growing region.
Here we can sample some of the lesser known wines of the Western Cape, in an area with roughly 60 wineries.
From here the tour will depart to Cape Town arriving late afternoon, depending on the surf

Tonight we go out for dinner in Cape Town city centre, with options discussed on tour.

DAY 6
CAPE TOWN – LLANDUDNO – NOORDHOEK – KOMMETJIE – CAPE TOWN
OR
CAPE TOWN – TABLE VIEW – DERDE STEEN – MELKBOS – CAPE TOWN
After a early morning breakfast we have the two options to choose from
Either go up north and surf the Table bay side
or
Go down south and surf the more open coast side of Cape Town
Cape Town has a lot of options to choose from, be it rolling longboard waves or barreling beach breaks.
We look at the charts the day before and discuss plan of action for the day.
After a day out surfing around Cape Town we finish tour with drop off at desired location within city centre.
